How to put a playlist on my Philips gogear raga mp3 palyer?

I was just wondering, I'm not a gadget expert so if someone could help me that would be great, how do I put a playlist on my philips gogear raga mp3 player? On my mp3 player theres a section that says playlists, but how do I make my playlists go on it? All the manuel told me was how to make a playlist, not how to put it on. And if you could explain it step by step that would be great! Thanks!

Hi Emily,
I have the same problem. My German manual tells me: create a new playlist and put it up to the music folder (drag and drop). But it dos'nt work. Also a right-click on the music folder shows only a grey field "new playlist" that don't work. I think it's a sofware-problem of the songbird program. I contacted my support, they will answer within 4 days. If I knew more, I'll tell you.
greetings from Germany

Hy Emily,
My support told me that my Raga dosn't support playlists. I have to buy the next better one :-(
But I found this in the community:

http://getsatisfaction.com/songbird/t...

Craig's idea works good, but I only use the explorer to create folders and drag and drop my mp3s directli to the device. No songbird needet.

Hope it will help

Shit,
don't connect your Raga to the songbird after you made folders manually. They will be deleted by songbird. I made my Lists in a desktop folder and copy the whole sh.. to the Raga. It's secure...

Hi Emily, - my english is not the best, but I try... and I feel sorry that no one other replies to your question.
You have a Dell. Okay, what kind of computer You have is not important. Every Computer needs a operating system like Unix or Windows that let You work with the computer and the different programs You use vor e-mailing or write or managing Your Raga (Songbird). All data are on the harddrive in Your computer and You must have a way to see whats on your harddrive and whats on a CD or on an USB-Stick. Under windows this is called the "explorer". I'm sure, Your Operating System let You see this to. When You connect the Raga to Your computer somewhere in this list he will appear and You can manage him from there as described.
Hope it well help

It looks like you have to unplug and plug the device again. After you select charge and transfer your device (PHILIPS) will appear on the left side and simple click and drag on your playlist will transfer your songs.

Pontosítok:
a számítógépen létrehozza a lejátszási listát, de az MP3/4-en nem.

Hi,
the problem with this "drag and pull etc" is that a playlist is creating only in the PC not on my MP3/4 player!

Could somebody HELP?

Thx
Judit

Hi!
I don't know if you (or someone else) still needs this but, like you I couldn't create a playlist.
I don't know how to create a playlist, but I found another way which works too, i guess.
Just make a folder with the songs you want and place it just like that on your device. (Or create one directly on your device and drag the songs to that folder)
Turn on your device :P go to folder view, search for that folder and than press play.
I noticed that it will only play those songs you placed in that folder, so it's kinda like a playlist. :D

Yep... I have the same problem. If the Raga doesn't support playlists then why is it loaded in the Raga firmware, and even more... why does it say in the manual that you can create playlists. Don't get me wrong, with a decent set of headphones the Raga is awesome and I love the device, but I have to say Songbird is more of a Dog than it is a Bird. Someone at the support is not telling the truth. Try upgrading your firmware and see if it is a bug that has been fixed in the new version. I cant do it because I am stuck on a 33k dial up modem at the moment so I don't know if that will help.

Hi, it's not a problem with the firmware. My support in germany told me that there are three versions of Ragas on market wich are classified only by the serial number. Sold in the same box with the same manual with the songbird program. The cheepest dos'n support playlists although it appears on the display. The next better on does, The third makes you listen to the radio too. But noone in the store had told me wich one is in the box. There had been to equal things with different prices. The "specialist staff" in the store only read aloud whats standing on the boxes and could not lell me why there are two prices (He suspected more capacity at the expensive one).
I create my playlists with drag an drop the folders as discribed by siiuuhh. That works great. But don't let the Raga start the Songbird automatically. By connecting the raga Songbird has deleted all my folders. So I put the program to the trash. Now I'm happy wih my "jodeling USB stick".
Best wishes from Germany
Yours Jürgen

i have another way of organizing music, the best till now
download fre:ac very good music converter, select wma 9.2 as output, and select wma VBR quality 75-85(i convert flac to wma),convert al music files grouped by albums, and then use mp3 tag to change tags(rename album by folder and artist) and add album covers, then copy musicfolders(albums) to music folder on your player and you can make playlists with winamp and then save to player,i have a very organized colection of music on my player using this method

I like my options on this Raga more than on my previous player (Sansa clip). I can drag and drop my music directly to my player and make my playlist on the go! Sweet!
