  • Interpretation [Especially Different Ones] is what makes photography so much fun. You are indeed right, Waterscapes can encompass any body of water but some of us like to use the words River Or Streams to specifically describe or name a specific part, point or place when describing Rivers And Streams. I would hardly think that purist would use the word Waterscapes to describe The Amazon or Mississippi Rivers or any major river for that point. Actually where describing or titling ones submissions is concerned [Or Should I Say Lack Thereof] most contributors who submit images to Pixoto seem more interested in the amount or speed they can get as many images on the site as quick as possible. This is Okay because they don't need to title or describe their image to get it on the site. When I have helped or trained a fellow photographer in the use of a camera, one of my first questions is this. When you take a picture the finished photo will show the viewer what you saw but it will not tell them what led you to take this photo or how you would describe your thought process or how you would describe your image in general. I often tell people that there are times when I'm doing a walkabout taking pictures that I see something in my field of vision that is so overwhelming that for just a moment I have to set my camera down just to marvel at what has been created in front of me.
    • I rarely title or keyword my images because I don't care to have them searched for... I don't have any of my images in for stock or purchase or in the market. I therefore see little need for keywords for my images. I am only interested in duelling and seeing what catches the publics eye and what doesn't work. And hang out here long enough Harold and you will be surfing through the categories and cataloguing your stuff like an old hand!! Good luck :)
