Archived because: Problem solved

Its been 2 weeks AND STILL IGNORING ME...

What's the big deal? Just tell us... Apparently you think it's ok, so shouldn't we ALL be in on the new rules? Or is this just a randomly applied rule because you made an incorrect decision and can't change your mind now? You've now allowed multiple images from different photographers of the same species of WILD CAT into the CATS category, which very clearly states:

Animals – Cats – Photos of ***domestic*** cats (no Lions, Tigers **etc**.). Subcategories: Portraits; Playing; Kittens

So, is that how we're doing it now? If so, I would like to know the size limit for small wild cats to be considered appropriate for the DOMESTIC Cats category, and which species would be appropriate, and whether it applies to ANY wild cat that has potentially been domesticated... Will it apply to all wild cats kept in Zoos? After all, they are also domesticated... Can we enter wolves into the dogs category as well, since sometimes, they too are domesticated... Please explain...

  • Wow, chill. So there's a rogue entry. Probably not going to impact you anyway.

  • Actually, Tom, it *does* impact me, because it opens the door for other users to submit animals which do not belong in this category, and already, a number have been submitted. The previous explanation, had you seen the other posts over the last almost 3 weeks, that I had gotten was that it was a SMALL wild cat, and it *could* be domesticated, therefore, was allowed in the domesticated cats category.

While this may seem insignificant to you, there are many species of small wild cats, and if one is allowed, then they would all have to be allowed, and that isn't even touching on the subject of "domestication", and whether all potentially *domesticated* cats would then be allowed (some people do keep things such as pet tigers, for example) but this could also encompass any cat kept in a zoo, which are, by definition, "domesticated". It would potentially change the entire face of the category. Having been told it was going to be allowed to remain based on "size" and potential for "domestication", I had asked for a clarification of the category. I have had this question ignored for over 2 weeks now, even after re-posting it.

So, yeah, it might very well impact me, and every other person submitting images into that category.
