Archived because: Not a problem

Once again, another digital image in childrens portrait catergorys -

another digital image in children's category ;-(
http://www.pixoto.com/images-photogra...

it is so frustrating, the image that won yesterday was digital, in fact this month is riddled with them... doesn't anyone moderate the contest?

most likely if there isn't any camera info attached to the entry, that's a pretty good indicator it isn't an actual photograph.

I enjoy this site and all the awesome images, but its not fair to all if this keeps happening.

  • Hello L.L.

Digitally enhanced images are allowed in all of the categories as long as the image looks real and not otherworldly.

We rely on our users to report images that they feel are in violation of the Contest Rules at www.pixoto.com/contest Thousands of images are submitted daily and we can not possibly look at every image,

  • looking at it it doesn't really look real, or is it a perspective thing

    • I guess its hard telling not knowing. Oh well I am firm on that its not a portrait, and its not for children's with adults in it over 16-

I actually value your opinion and I could be wrong about the rest- although my instinct tells me otherwise.
    • L.L. thank you for your thoughts, I enjoyed constructive conversation :)

For me it is never hard admitting I don't know something or that I'm wrong, because no person knows everything :)

I value your opinion too, and the more I look at that photo the more I have feeling that something is wrong, I just can not point my finger and say: Aha, that is wrong :)

      Thank you again :)

There are NO splashes in the water...I would think it is obviously digital, and it does NOT look real...People can't "Walk on water"... LOL! Only Jesus...! :P

    • Yes, I see that!...And at the far right, it looks to be a traffic signal, yet it is sorta hard to see, but looks like some part of it is reflecting on the sand, which seems a little strange that a traffic signal would be that close to sand...BUT, I think I have figured out why 'to me', it looks not real...besides the fact that distance and proportions seem to be some how off...I think what is getting me are the people...They seem to be more toward the HDR thing...Not 'real' looking...

I must say one thing...This one picture sure has entertained us!! :)
    • I don't think its sand, its too flat, maybe a play area sort of thing, but I'm still thinking photoshop

  • whats wrong is the scale of the child in front. He's too big for the distance between him and those behind him. He and 4 or 5 groups of people have all been added to this photo prior to reflecting the image.

Regardless- this was a lot of work to create- quite well done.
