# Better rewards are needed Edit Subject

so i looked at the quests i have, i'm level 124 in the game.

'the cats meow' quest
it says i to buy 2 faux shelves at 20,000 each, glasses and 1 faux shelve at 15,000.
total cost 55,000 coins
reward 2,000
loss in doing this quest is 53,000 coins

'out with the old' quest
it says to buy 2 olympics weights at 25,000 each, 1 olympics hockey at 40,000 and 3 olymics rosettes at 10,000 each
total cost 120,000
reward is 2,500 coins
loss in doing this quest is 117,500 coins

so just doing 2 quests i've lost 170,500 coins.

we either need the rewards to be better so we will do them or the ability to be able to delete them.

this is the only game i know where the rewards are not worth the goal. we are losing money in game playing this game, its hard enough to make money in this game and again this game seems to lack ways to generate the coins!

this problem
• never really sat and did the math. often felt that i was spending more than i was making, but hoped it all worked out in the end... thank you for putting the math up here and letting me know i was not crazy. i did complete them all, but i am also complete on orders... i do now understand why so many complained about these quests

Most if not all quests have at least some direct gain from the activities needed to complete them.
For example, a quest to make food ends up with not only the reward for the quest, but the food as well. The food is then sold on to make further profit and you may end up with considerably more reward than the quest suggested.
A quest to redecorate is its own reward of course, refreshing the look and feel of a diner can be fun and rewarding, the quest just encourages you to do this.

You are under no real obligation to complete any quests after the tutorial and the expectation is that you do them as and when you're doing related activities
A lot of the quests are really just there to give players something to focus on, otherwise the sandbox style gameplay can grow repetitive!

I hope that explains things!

• i think however that the refreshing look to my diner for a loss of 170,500 coins. is really not worth it.
i dont get why you say we need to have this at this price but dont increase what the reward is, why not make reward basis cover the cost? loads of other games will give you the cover cost of the purchase needed then a bit extra as a reward. so if item is 1,000 coins to buy then they give you 1,500 not a huge amount but it means your better off after doing the quest/goal/mission than you was before doing it.
i think this game is however working backwards to keep players content? the rewards need to work in the players favour a little more, cause all i'm seeing is do this and lose!

• I’m confused
oh wow Anna Flemming you are not kidding, what were they thinking when they made these quests? and people did them? i have "crash site" which i must buy 2 pink alien tubes at 7,500 each and one blue tube at another 7,500 but am only going to get 700 coins in return= a loss of 1,550 coins to gain some experience. do have much in coins right now as it is since i am so new
let the games begins requires me to buy a tv for 25,000 weights for another 7,500 plus 12 wall decor (of which i do have 10 already) but i will only get 200 coins in return? that is another loss of 32,300 coins. Most games want you to earn coins to buy stuff in the game with. very confused.

i dont honestly beleive they will change them, add any more, alter the ones so that the rewards are any different to what they currently even tho i do agree they could be better.

i would honestly recommend if you do not want to do them, then don't you do not have to do them, as Rowan said You are under no real obligation to complete any quests...

Hope this helps

Our feeling is that the quests are not intended to be powered through for their own sake, you achieve them as you play.
So for example, a quest to cover your diner in balloons and fireworks is something you'd do around the fourth of july or new years eve anyway.
There's a reward of coins and XP for doing it, but you're not expected to be going far out of your way for it.
If the quests were obligatory, or too expensive for most players to bother with then we'd bump up the rewards to make them more appealing,
but as it stands It's not something we feel the need to encourage and drive players
to complete (especially when there are relatively few of them!)

There is something to be said for the ability to hide the quests, I'll add it to the suggestions-box!
