I’m frustrated

The more things Change, the more they stay the same.

In recent threads here on support (recent being say a month)- players have come to support with some issues that have actually been around for a while- I myself do not see many improvements being made. We even posed questions about the possibility of the game ending due to such little activity from support into the game.

1. frequency of new orders has always been an issue. Jan 27, 2016 was last release of eleven orders. it is common for months to pass with no new orders, and then 4 or more dropped at one time.... at one point support was dropping 4 orders just about once a month, that was nice. Clearly we can not plan on any regular input, it becomes feast or famine on orders.

2. the neighbor thing has always been an issue, since i started playing this game people have asked to not have every friend they have affect the game storage...as not all our friends play this game... and while we might try to ask them to play, this is not a game everyone would like. this is the only company i know of that all friends tie into my game same and restrict me.

3. Oh yes, the neighbor/friend thing ends up being a big issue in many ways. i have played enough of these types of games, talked with enough tech/support people that i get (at least some) of the bigger picture. each "neighbor" becomes a part of my game storage, and when i load in my game, i am loading in my neighbors stuff (to a point) also... otherwise we would not have those neighbor bars at the bottom and be able to get into our neighbor diner so easy to see what they are cooking or not cooking

4. How often people post complaints of serves not counting, crew members not visible, orders not seen? Since i started playing the game, also daily i see a new post about such topics. Rarely do i see input back from support as to if that was a bug in game and now fixed or.. if possibly it times into the too many friends issue which my friends and i have tested and seen proof that the neighbor thing COULD POSSIBLY be part of the trouble, even posted and explained.... not sure if support really looked into any of this to see if it could be a valid point.

5. Time and time again we have asked for popup confirmations regarding "are you sure you want to do this" We get that type of pop up when we try to put away a stove or serving table with food on it .... so why can't we get one confirming we want to pay 10, 20 cash?

6. Soda fountains changed to stoves or missing. Now that got out of hand while support had their holidays, And compensation finally did go out to many players with a "fix" . However that "fix" did not stick and this problem is getting out of control again.

7. Fresh content has been begged for. It was even suggested you make decor available for limited time to rotate stuff in and out. Because (yep i know this too) the more content you have in the game, the more memory is needed and too much in game can lead to other issues. Therefore, limited time stuff would make more sense. Ex- Halloween stuff should be available September & October. Christmas stuff for November & December.

8. Progress does NOT 'auto save" and even using your little save button does not work, unless you are willing to sit and wait 5-10 minutes. (and i suspect the slowness and drag time is related to all the content sitting in storage).

9. Oh wait! Gosh oh golly! that is it, isn't it? Orders once a month, limited times stuff....,that would mean support would actually have to do stuff on this game more often. Yes, you are a small staff and Diner Life is not your only game. So drop a bunch of stuff to feed the masses and come back to this game when you feel like it. Sorry Play Demand.... but that is how you make us feel.

10. Many have in past 4-8 weeks, begged you to take game offline for a few hours to work on game. All we ask is for a IN GAME advance notice (ex On Thursday May 5th Diner Life will be down for maintenance from 7 am - 12 noon) . This lets you work on game and keeps us from possibly creating more bugs by doing things in game as you are working on it.

In hopes that you have read through this entire post, sorry it is so long.... bottom line is that actions speak louder than words. (not that we get many words from you here) but in looking back .... I do not see things changing, or improving, hence my title. And heed the comment in this section, actions speak louder....take action please. fix the game... make it better... you have too big of a fan base to be doing us like this.. weeks and months of nothing, band-aid fixes.. no replies. Not really sure how you have hung on to us this long... oh wait, yes, i do know. We stay because of OTHER PLAYERS.

    well they may never implement this as its hopes that people will buy cash when they accidentally used it.

    personally i think all the problems not fixed prevents many buying cash.

    Al Landon, I too have been told similar things about memory and storage in game... believe it may hold many of our answers too, but wow.. so put it out here like that? Some how i dont think support will be happy with you for making them look bad should it turn out to be such a simple fix.. although, i am sure it is not as simple as you put it, and they would never let you know if you did get them down the right path.
    i do agree though that the whole thing about here are some orders, and nothing new for MONTHS is spot on. its like tossing a dog a bone to get the dog to leave you alone. The game would be so much better if instead of 11 at one time it went back to 4 every 3-6 weeks.

    I am sure they do not mean to let things go so long. Probably do not even realize how long it has been since new orders. or the the last update/fix whatever they did was put into game on March 11 ..almost two months ago. To them it possibly seems like they did that only a week or two ago. However, as i work in a customer service industry that gets a lot of complaints.... one of my bosses taught me to put myself into the customers shoes. Try to see things from their point of view. Maybe Play Demand could do that? look at things as if they were a regular player like us? some of the players losing cooking equipment are repeat in that area, so to them it never got fixed. some who are constantly losing cash, be happy they still play, but think how you would feel if it were you. the orders that we think we completed, and closed out.. to come back and find the "save" did not save and we lost out.. come one support, you would be upset too and to not see any fixes? put yourself in our spot... we are right to be frustrated, annoyed, ticked off, sad, disappointed. Some of us try to be nice, we get you are a small company, but we still feel we deserve better than what we are getting.
    • Maybe they DO mean to let things go for so long. Maybe if they stop replying to us, and stop putting new stuff in.. they think we will just go away.. that is just too sad for me to believe. However i can not believe that this is the image they want their players to see.... yet i must agree, it does look like we are given 4 plus orders at a time and then left on our own for a long time. Maybe it makes us the problem.. i mean i know we have no control over getting them to drop stuff in.. or make fixes.. but .. in the fact that we continue to play, whether it be daily, or weekly.... since we continue to play we then are saying that we accept this game at the level play demand has put it out to... and since there are more of us continuing to play this game with all the problems .... then maybe support sees no need to appease the few of us who actually come on here to voice opinions or problems....although it would be nice to think since we come here and voice our concerns to support, that they would address us....we clearly are out numbered by the vast majority of players who never speak up at all on here, but accept the game as is and just play.
      to continue to play or not... that is the question i must ask myself and suggest we all ask ourselves.... its not that we need new stuff daily or weekly.. but this once in a blue moon stuff? ....

    5 months since new orders.. yeah they were harder and so it did take us longer.. but not 5 months.
    2 months since last "update" what ever that MIGHT have been
    same bugs since... oh the game started maybe.. or at least since Christmas (missing stoves)
    Many support posts un-answered for just as long.....
    Yet they say the game is not ending....
    you have original players with no new content.. you have many more in same boat...how long would you wait if it were you?
    Missy nailed it..... put yourself here, where we are... now the fact that we are still here speaks volumes... please try to do better for us.. or be honest and say you can not do any more...
