Do I lose an MP3 from my balance when re-downloading?

Hello, I redownloaded Cowboy Casanova because it had cut off half way. I did not realize that I could be charged for that redownload. Is that true?

    Hi Steven -

I'm sorry to hear you experienced a problem with your download! Play.me allows a 72 hour re-download courtesy. This means you will be able to re-download the same MP3 within 24 hours of the original download without reducing your total downloads.

Here’s how to do it :
    Log in to your account
Click the “Downloads” link found on the top of the page, select the “My Downloads” tab

There, you will see the date you made the download as well as the song title and artist. You have 72 hours to re-download the same MP3 without lowering your amount of remaining downloads. In order to benefit from the 72 hour re-download period, you must download the exact same MP3.

We'd be more than happy to grant you back an additional download to replace the partial download you experienced. Please send us an email via our form.

I sent an email asking to be able to re-download some songs that were lost on my computer.. I think you should have a re-download feature. I know you are trying to stop people from stealling songs, but there are other solutions to this problem.. I am unhappy with how playme deals with this!

    Hi Blake -

Thanks for your constructive feedback about Play.me. I'm sorry to hear about the problems you've encountered with your downloads. It sounds like you've already contacted our care team, so they will be able to assist you with your MP3 balance!

Just so you know, Play.me does feature a redownload feature. In order to benefit from this, you must redownload the *same* MP3 within the allowed 72 hour period.

Not sure how long it's been since you made your download? If you login and click on your e-mail address as the top of the page you will be brought to your Account page. From there, click My Downloads. On that page, you can see the date in which you last made your downloads. You have approx. 72 hours from that date to make the same download without reducing your balance.

We do hope to re-introduce the link to the content on the "My Downloads" page to make redownloading easier.

Please note - in order to make sure your MP3 downloads are not "lost" be sure to Save the MP3s to a safe place on your computer. Before downloading again, check your browser's default settings to locate, or specify your downloads folder. If you do not save your MP3s downloads to your computer, they may be placed in your temporary internet files. This mean that when you go to play them again, you will not be able to locate them.

    Hope that helps!
    Regards,
    Bridget

I tried to download a song and only received half of it. When I downloaded the same song again it took away one of my credits for the same song. What did I do wrong?
