How many articles back does RSS look?

Edit Subject

When you add a blog as an rss feed, does the rss feed tell you how many articles back to look? I added my blog and only the first 10-15 show up... is that a setting?

I have changed it to display 50 RSS stories in any feed! :)

At the moment it's goes back 30 stories, but I can bump it up to 40 or 50 if you think that's a requirement?
