Delete Talk

There needs to be an easy way to delete a talk you've created.
If I've had a change in schedual and didn't make it, or decided I no longer was able to attend the event I should be able to remove the talk.

Also, being able to remove events or series you've created, so long as there are no talks in it, might be a good idea.

Yes, being able to delete a talk would be good, especially for those situations when you aren't able to present. This should be restricted so that you can only delete a talk in which you are the presenter and there has been no feedback. (And probably only before the talk was supposed to take place, trying to delete it afterward shouldn't be allowed by users.)

Thanks for the improvement idea. We want to be careful about how we handle the ability to delete talks, to protect information and the integrity of data. But having said that, we're certain that we should come to a conclusion for how a talk presenter or creator should be able to delete their own talks up until a certain point, so as not to compromise collected data.

Glad to hear that this is being considered. Deleting a talk should definately only be allowed under specific circumstances so any collected data isn't invalidated or lost.

This issue has been resolved. Talk creators have the access to delete their own talks if no ratings or comments have been made on them.

Is the "Delete talk" feature still in place? Because, I created two talks accidentally (http://speakerrate.com/talks/7920-wpf... and http://speakerrate.com/talks/7919-wpf...) and unable to delete one of them. Neither the "Edit talk" screen nor the "talk" page seem to have any delete or remove link...

Please help!!

We're taking a look to see why the feature may not be appearing for you and should have it fixed soon. For the time being, we can delete one of the talks for you. Just let us know the link of the one you want deleted and we'll make it vanish.
