Login requirements are a total turn-off.

I just wanted to register to support a friend. Needing to add your site, which I JUST became aware of, to my LinkedIn profile, is too much to ask of a new user. Please consider making your site easier to join, and passive users like me can then recommend it to friends.

Hey Grace, thanks for the comment. Just so you know, it's not a requirement, and you can skip it. It just supports our community goal of having real people give feedback, rather than anonymous drones/trolls. We're working on revising some of that flow to be more clear, but you're certainly more than welcome and invited to skip that step in the process.

What about adding openID support? That might help people over the log-in hurdle and it would also further your goal of having real people with real-world authority give feedback.
