Hi community,

I got a problem by showing my Prezi offline.
Downloading and decompressing the zip-file works out fine but when I want to play it, an error occurs and my fonts are set back to the standard font:

"Theme Error
We could not load one of the fonts.
Technical details:
id: 1100 the reason is: Event [Event type="fontLoadError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2]"

I have searched for a solution in the forum but I was unsuccessful. Please help.

Thank you in anticipation.

Lukas

several solutions here : http://community.prezi.com/prezi/topi...

but I'm wondering if this not an amazon issue as several users reported that today...

Thank you for your reply, NathL!
Unfortunately, none of the suggested solutions worked out for me.

Anyone else any ideas?

Lukas, I'm trying to troubleshoot this, I'm presenting at an award on Tuesday and they need the final file tonight. I've downloaded the file, the .swf font file is there in the font folder, but it still says there is an error.

I've tried swapping all the fonts in the presentation but no luck, everything works fine online, but only a problem with the download.

I've updated to the latest flash etc... and tried on Windows and Mac.

What version of prezi are you on? Are you on an EDU account?

Guys, just to say, I upgraded to the trial Desktop version, saved out the file from there and it works just fine.

It looks like there are a bunch of errors in the content.xml file which the online version produces, or rather there is a significant different between the two content.xml files produced by the online version compared to the desktop version e.g. missing opening CDATA[ and ]] syntax around the font file as well as the text from the presentation.

Not that I understand any of this, but the Desktop output works. Hope this helps a few of you.

Thank you very much, Nathalie! I am sure, they will fix it in the morning.

Creating a pdf works quite well but the very positve effects of zooming in and out are not as easily available as they are in Prezi.

Hope, tomorrow will work out better for the Prezi user community than today.

best regards,
Lukas

Changing these two files doesn't help me either. Any other solution?

Edit:

I found the problem.

I created the prezi with google chrome and if I opened the prezi in a different browser (firefox or internet explorer) the text formatting changed.
So once I opened the prezi in firefox and fixed the text formatting manually, I could then download it with no further problems for offline presentation.

I changed the swf files in data exported project folder as NathL and rhetoricshow suggested, and doesn't works. My prezi desktop version is 4. I tried to change swf in the prezi folder too (I was desperate), and the presentation declined. Any suggestions?
I'm having problems to upload the file to prezi.com either. Somebody help me!

I am having the same problem with Prezi Desktop 4. I tried updating Prezi to the latest version and re-saving the presentation, using the main.swf and SkinOverPlaySeekMute files posted by NathL in this thread, and deleting the font cache as described in another thread (http://community.prezi.com/prezi/topi...), all to no avail. I can't upload the Prezi to prezi.com as publishing company information on a third-party website is prohibited by company policy...

After some noodling around with the exported files from a portable presentation, I hit on something that seems to work. I opened the content.xml file (in the content\data folder) and deleted all the @font-face entries in the CSS section near the bottom of the file -- all the parts that look like this:

@font-face
{
src: url('Fontin.keg');
fontFamily: body;
}

There were four of them. I saved the content.xml file and now the Prezi opens without an error. I haven't checked through the entire presentation to see if anything got messed up but so far what I have checked through, no text appears to be missing or have changed fonts.

So this appears to work for the "portable" Prezi, but opening the Prezi for editing in Prezi Desktop still elicits the error. There is a way to edit the fonts (Template-> Customize Current Theme-> Next to get the Fonts and Colors dialog) and event the CSS styles directly (Template-> Customize Current Theme-> Advanced-> Use the Prezi CSS Editor
link at the bottom of the screen) but changing the fonts/CSS for an existing presentation didn't seem to have any effect.

This has apparently been an intermittent bug for quite a while now. This thread is a year old and the other one I referenced is 3 years old. Can we get a permanent fix please?

I solved this problem uploading the presentation to prezi.com using the prezi desktop and after download the uploaded file from the site. If you concerned about the prezi policy, try to publish your file with restrictions to other people.

It's not Prezi's policy - it's my company's policy. We can't upload presentations that contain potentially proprietary information to a third-party website without going through many, many hoops, regardless of whether or not the website offers some way to restrict who sees it (that's just a method, and probably a not very secure one, of restricting web users from viewing it - anyone with access to the server from Prezi's side would be able to view it). So that won't work for me.

If you use HTTPS everywhere, turn it off, it happened to me and turning it off did the trick
