Hi,
I've got an number of Prezis that I have used in the past and edited without a single problem whilst at a number of zoom levels. I must admit I haven't had a need for a Prezi since around October.

So, I re-enter the prezi world today to find out that ALL of my prezi's now have a limited zoom on them and I can't get to the really small stuff - I get the message 'Can not zoom in more'.

However, when I play the Prezi, the player has no issue at all with zooming into that level. What is going on?

I have tried this on 2 machines now, a Desktop PC and an iMac. I have also tried to reduce the resolution of the screen. Nothing seems to make a difference.

Please help!

Thanks,
Mark

Hey there,

Great job trying to troubleshoot! However, this is a result of the flash engine reaching its limits. For whatever reason, while you were editing your Prezi, you reduced the font size down to its limits and now they need to be enlarged again. Please shift select these words and increase their size.

First zoom in/out as much as appropriate in order to be able to select the object(s). From here left click and hold from the top left corner of the image to the bottom right and release. From here the zebra should appear and you should be able to modify the objects now.

Good luck and happy zooming!

Regards,
Alex

Alex, THANKS for this solution. It worked and really "saved my life." I'm really amazed that you (or anyone) would know about the "flash engine limit" causing this problem. Again, THANKS!

Hi Alex and many thanks for the response.

I've tried what you have suggested, but this does not work on all the objects. I have zoomed in as far as I can go and I can select some of the frames and enlarge to edit the objects, but there are some that I just can't seem to be able to select and get the zebra. Any ideas?

Besides, do you understand why this has happened? All of the items I am trying to edit were from a previous Prezi that I was able to edit quite easily at full zoom. I haven't changed the font size at all. I wouldn't mind if I could even edit them to change the font size. I'm not sure what has changed - has the Flash engine changed?

Thanks,

Mark

Hey Mark,

I would recommend trying to zoom out instead of in and select the super small objects. If you can grab hold of them, delete them and remake them larger. Flash updates itself all the time.

Alex

I got the same problem - a couple of days ago, I edited a prezi for a presentation that I need to give in a couple of days. However, today, I suddenly cannot zoom in to the detail I need in order to make corrections to some text and a couple of pictures.

The normal viewing mode is able to zoom in and visualize the prezi normally, it's the editing mode that doesn't allow the zoom. How is it possible that the zooming is suddenly restricted and will it be restored soon? If not, I need to remake my whole presentation - or switch back to Powerpoint... to never be seen on this site again.

And another problem just occured: I cannot move around some objects anymore (although I can zoom in on them in the edit mode). It says the content is too big or small to fit on the canvas. How can it be too small if I can zoom in on it allright during editing?

This totally blows. If I cannot use the level of zooming I originally used, I cannot use the same path/storyline.

Actually, I cannot add ANY text anymore or create ANY shape on any level of zooming - either on the complete canvas (after pressing 'home' button) nor on any of the zoom levels (1, 2, 3 etc times clicking the + button). Is this a temporary bug on the site?

This is driving me nuts... is there any way to roll back your version of Flash possibly?

Alternativey, is there any way to enlarge ALL the elements rather than individually? Any "Select All" option that would make this easier? I hate being punished for being an early adopter...

This just happened to me, out of the blue. I was editing happily 20 minutes ago and all of a sudden, boom, can't zoom.

I'm glad I haven't paid yet, I was planning to since I'm already almost out of space and will need to make more presentations.

Is there no ultimate fix for this?
