My presentation gives two error messages whenever I open it to view or edit it. I get this twice:

We could not load one of your media files.

How can I stop this from happening in future? The media doesn't appear so I can't even delete it. Help!

HI Ian Johnson,

could you share the URL so I can take a look, it may be that they are corrupt in some way?

Hi John,

Thanks for the swift reply!

I'm new to Prezi but I think this is the URL that you're after:

http://prezi.com/sjyis1k3gjat/service...

Let me know if not and how to find the right one and I'll go get it for you.

Many thanks,

Ian

Hi Ian,

these images were corrupt (they did not load fully) and so were causing your errors. I have now removed them - maybe worth trying in another format.

Hope this helps

Hi, I'm experiencing the same thing with my presentations - I get an error message:

We could not load a media file in your prezi.
Please reload your prezi and try again. If the problem persists, contact support.

http://prezi.com/c_ttdwuadf0g/navigat...

It's not just when I try and edit them - I'm trying to show the presentations to someone and all the pictures have disappeared! (I've tried opening them in both Chrome and Explorer and my Flash is up to date.)

Thanks!

Hello Elsie Widdowson,

I am able to open both Prezis and view them OK from here (UK).

Can you try these suggestions:
have you moved location / wifi area? it may be that Prezi.com is being blocked by some security measure at your workplace/location:

- check to see if you have the latest versions of Adobe flash (done)
- check you do not have a Firewall / virus checker that is blocking Prezi - you may need to whitelist Prezi.com in its security properties (*.prezi.com)
- Is your internet connection OK - is it just Prezi.com giving you the problem?
- can you open it from another computer (e.g. a friends living elsewhere) this would indicate a local problem
- if you can try another browser (Firefox,Chrome etc). (Done)

Let me know how you get on

cheers

Hi John, thanks for your prompt response. Having not been working for a while and getting that error message, now on the same computer it is loading fine! I guess it's a case of Muphy's Law of IT help requests - problem will spontaneously resolve itself after giving up and submitting request!

Thanks,
Hilary

Hi John,
Sorry, I think I checked it a bit too quickly before going home last night - I thought it was fixed because the footprints and birthday cake images had re-appeared. But when I was trying to show it to someone today and zoomed in, all the posters are still missing. In each of the [ ] fields (other than the first circular one) there should be a poster with details about that time period. The posters aren't there either when go through it as a presentation or if I try to edit it (I still get that error message).

Re your previous comments - I'm using the same computer I've always used, I'm in the UK, and I've sent the link to someone else and they can't see the posters either.

I'm also getting concerned because I was intending to embed this in our website, but if it's going to be unreliable, then that doesn't seem like such a good idea.

Thanks,
Hilary
