HELP!!! Is there a link to available Prezi fonts??

I've gone through the CSS editor documentation, and I understand how to change the fontfaces in the head, strong, and body sections. I see reference in the documentation to fonts that are do not appear on the list in the online tools. (LiberationSerif-Regular, Liberation-Serif-Bold, and calluna-regular - all of which are referenced, but none of which appear on the list in the editor tool.)

Is there a link/website where I can find a list of the available fonts to use in the presentations?

We currently don't have that information collected in one place. If we pull that together soon I will post it here. Sorry - we have a long queue of requests...

I would also very much like a list of fonts. Are all available fonts shown in the various themes, or are there others available as well?

The CSS Editor Documentation says: "To customize the appearance of these types, select your font from the list and name them respectively in a @font-face declaration." BUT I CANNOT FIND A FONT LIST! And also, the Theme Wizard does not show all the supported fonts in the manual mode. So, where can I find a font list?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Missing fonts.

Looking through the CSS-code of the different themes will get give you all the fonts that we make available. There are some hacks that can give you more, if you feel comfortable with that, prezi does not officially support these and don't guarantee that it works. http://community.prezi.com/prezi/tags...

I went through their standard templates and wrote all of them down. I started to build a spreadsheet with Microsoft equivalent fonts, but lost interest in Prezi. I haven't used it in months. Here is a better layout. Note that some of the fonts appear to be unnamed, but still have an associated font file.

Gentium GentiumPlus-R.swf
Gentium Italic GentiumPlus-I.swf
Helvetica Light HelveticaNeueLTPro-Lt.swf

fertigopro.swf
existence-unicaselight.swf
Bold boxy PublicGothicSquare.swf
VL-PGothic-Regular.swf

Best of luck.

Well, so much for that... I had it neatly formatted in columns... I guess Prezi doesn't like that too well.

I've abandoned Prezi after paying for a year license. Perhaps after it matures (if it does) it will capture my attention again. For right now, it is nothing but a toy, not a productivity tool.

thanks a lot Kathy. Just a little questions, where can I check the updates of the font list? I'm now trying to use HelveticaNeueLTPro-Blk.swf and it doesn't work, while HelveticaNeueLTPro-Lt.swf runs perfectly...

it's been a while since I've been on prezi but it's when you go into the advanced settings in the theme wizard and go to 'CSS settings' or something like that and you'll see code on the right with font names. replace those with any of the names mentioned above. hope this makes sense

I need Gill Sans MT, to be consistent with my company font. Is there no way I can add this in the CSS editor? I've tried but it doesn't seem to work. Without this my Marketing team won't approve my use of Prezi. Somebody please help!

Hi David!

I'm sorry, but if the font you need is not available via the CSS editor, the last option I know of is purchasing a branded Prezi template. Hope that works for you.

Kind regards,

Katrin

Hi Keven!

Basic Chinese support is provided by the font "VL-PGothic-Regular". It's not perfect, though, and I can't say, when it will be.

Kind regards,

Katrin

Keven, to add some info...

VL-PGothic-Regular.swf is a traditional Chinese (Taiwan/Hong Kong) font. Actually, it's a Japanese font, as it also contains the kana.

There is another font available (it doesn't show in the popup, you'll have to go to the CSS editor and enter it manually) called kochi-gothic-subst.swf which is also a traditional Chinese/Japanese font.

I don't see any option in Prezi for simplified Chinese characters.

The VL font has about 3,000 characters, according to its webpage. (This is nowhere near a complete set but will probably suffice for basic information.) The Kochi font has a much larger set of glyphs--according to Wikipedia, around 15,000.

The reason you're not likely to see more CJK font support any time soon is that Prezi uses open-source fonts (that is, fonts that are not copyrighted). It's an incredible amount of work to produce a complete Chinese/Japanese font, and hardly anyone does it unless they're being paid!

Note: I am not a Prezi employee, but I am someone who has studied a fair amount of Japanese and is interested in typography and calligraphy.
