How can I hide or fade out items?

Hi,

I've just started with Prezi and am creating a literal map identifying how our service works. However, I want to be able to change things like arrow directions to show a change in the way follow of information.

I have used the Beta "fade in" tool extensively (I would love to see this automated so I don't need multiple button presses), but I would also like to see a fade out tool.

I might be able to get over the issue by re-drawing items to cover up item underneath then fade them in, but it would be a bit of a hash.

Answers of a post card please

Hi Lars Viktor Høvik,

you can fade in objects, frames and groups - there is no option to fade out yet built in to Prezi - however you could use an image the same colour as the background or object beneath to get this effect (fade out) http://prezi.com/learn/fade-animation/

hope this helps

cheers

John

Hello All,

I hear your growing frustration over this matter but I can unfortunately not provide you with any details concerning the time frame or the progress of development, if any, regarding this feature. Our official policy is not to provide any details of our technological roadmap. As a company, we prefer not to make any promises we might not be able to keep.

Nevertheless, as with all other features, we do measure and take into consideration requests concerning a fade out feature. But feature development is prioritised according to several factors, and I’m afraid the length of time it has been requested is only one of them.

So for the time being, all I can do is encourage you and all those to whom the possibility of fading out content would be important, to make yourself heard by expressing your thoughts on this forum and by submitting requests on the support page, if you are an Enjoy, Pro or EDU Pro user who has access to premium support. Help requests can be submitted by clicking on the "Submit new help request" button
here.

I hope you understand.

Best regards,

Vera
