Hi,

Our current desktop editor is only able to insert flv videos.

Prezi uses flash and flash can only embed flv videos. When you upload an mp4, mov, avi or mpeg video in the browser based prezi editor, the video is converted to flv by our servers. When you are using the offline desktop editor, we can't guarantee, that these servers are available from your computer.

We know about this problem and try to come up with a solution. For now your best options are to use the online editor or convert the video files to flv before inserting them.

Thanks, Gabor. I have already worked around it successfully by renaming mp4 files to flv. I read that Adobe describes flv as a form of MPEG4, and just renaming the files has worked. If and when it does not, I will use conversion.
