more line and arrow styles

It would be a good thing if there were more options in terms of arrow and line style. Like this the information density inside a Prezi could be increased. E.g. for some connections I'd like to use a single-ended arrow with a dotted line, for another I need a solid line with a double ended arrow.

Keep going , Prezi is fantastic!

Hi Florian,

so, you need lines mostly to show various types or relations, right?
and would prefer to use single colored arrows with various heads, tails, etc.

can you just share us an example of topic sets you might want to connect / relate with these?

just that we get a good idea

thanks

Using the cooking tutorial examples, you have arrows pointing to the next steps. A dotted line arrow could mark the path to a reduced-fat version of a particular step.

I think this would be helpful too. I would have liked to be able to change line colors, use dashed lines, etc in this prezi:

See the diagrammed part toward the bottom.

This is SOOOOOOO needed. MY GOD how frustrating it is not to be able to adjust the lines and arrows!!! (really sucks)

It would also be very good to have curved arrows/lines. I have workflows / flowcharts in my prezi and the normal straight arrows don't look good in this context.

Hi Evan,

can you point us to some examples?
should they stick to objects?
any good example application where you like the interface, how to create them?

I'm using the labyrinth template and i know I'd love to find a way to keep doing the dotted connection between the boxes. it gives two to start with but I can't find any way to make more.

Hello Nathaniel Andersen,

in this template it can be it hard to select the object (the dots) - however if you use either shift and click or shift and left mouse button to draw a rectangle over the content (recommended) you should be able to select them - I have done some for you over to the right oif your Prezi.  When selected try using shift and 'D' to duplicate for more of them.

cheers

John.

I am making a mind map/presentation and I need to link a number of ideas together in different ways, visually, as well as in the presentation. Curved arrows, and being able to select colours as well as thicknesses would be very helpful.
I love prezi, but this is a bit frustrating!

I am currently making a diagram that is circular in nature, and the straight lines are too edgy for the kind of impression I want to make. I'd love to be able to make a circular line with an arrow.

Perhaps this doesn't require updating Prezi, since you can load almost anything into your presentation yourself.
Wouldn't it be an idea if Prezi (or someone else) would offer a package of standard shapes (like arrows), which you download (or store online) and use as a library?

We can upload 'pictures' with relative ease, but would your proposed library of shapes be vector images? or PNG/JPG? etc. The quality of vector graphics is awesome at every magnification. This is a compelling reason to have such a library 'built-in' to Prezi.

Some fonts have common shapes. Would it be possible to enable a 'font selector' for text elements?

Just to be able to draw straight lines would be great!

I'd really like to have some double ended arrows.
Ideally this would be done by editing an existing arrow or line.

For example, after double clicking on a line or arrow it shows up with three points. It'd be super sweet if double clicking on one of the end points produced a menu of different end styles. And maybe if double clicking on the centre point produced a menu of different line types (ie dashed, dotted etc). This could even be all in the same menu, so you can make all the changes you need at once.

Hi all, a way to do this is to make a page with all the shapes you need on it and then save out a a PDF - example http://prezi.com/8diwpyhf-l20/shapes-... - these are copyable as well.

You can then crop them to the shape you want and have vector quality to boot - I made these in Word and OpenOffice.org.

cheers
