Hi I'm fabio and I'm an e-learning designer so I would use prezi for instructional purpouses.

I just want to share a few ideas that could make prezi an "allinone" tool for presentations and learning object design:

for the teacher:
-add a recording tool (online --> like voocasmo) or let the user to add a mp3 file for each step of the path
-hyperlinking to external webpages (as a teacher, it would be useful!!)
-embed external widget (slideshare/youtube/vimeo/etc)
-scorm support
it's a strange request I know, but e-learning market is full of ppt2flash converter that adopt this standard but they are full of bugs or cost very much - thousands dollars ---> articulate.com/raptivity/captivate)

for the students:
-clikable hotspot wiht popups with text/images/external content
-audio narration: it would be nice a prezi visual map with storytelling style that brings you through the path!

Thanks for everything!

Thank you Fabio

really good points!
one point which might work already, if you have a textbox starting with http:// it will turn into a link, you so you link external information.

Hi Adam, I tried this feature with a class but sometimes if a student prepare a link list, just the first turn automatically in a URL.
Not the others.
Maybe we should create a text block for every link. is it possible?
Best,
fabio

The same problem is still present. Only the first URL in a prezi is converted into a clickable link :-(

like the idea of having hotspots this would enable the creation of "walkthroughs" to make interactive tutorials - great for interactive whiteboards

Yes! We understood during a course about learning technolgies that Prezi would be a great tool to create multimedia blackboard content!

This beats all other so called "e-learning software". Using this in classroom of touchscreens, as an alternative to dated interactive whiteboards.

Hello Fabio,

I absolutely agree.
I am thinking about new explorative e-Learning approaches and Prezi would be an perfect intrument if it supports SCORM.

I think links opening in Prezi-window would work best. Entering a completely different window when clicking a link could destroy the flow in the presentation. In my opinion that is one of the best things with the Prezi.

Maybe this is a possibility?

The feature is still available but no updates or any new feature. And also you get the text converted into a link but no way to have a text for the link... like Prezi

Not useful

As a music teacher, the ability to quickly and easily insert mp3 files is a must for me. flv and swf conversions are time consuming and I don't need to convert audio to video. I just need audio!
