I’m frustrated

Where is the Help documentation?

I'm looking for end-user documentation for Tarantula. Clicking on the Wiki link in the app takes me to this forum. I want to get a high level overview of workflow and best practices for Tarantula. Do they exist? Can somebody point me to the resource?

  • I’m undecided
I'm pretty sure nothing of this nature exists. I've spent the last month or so combing through the functionality and customizing it for our best practices, and that seems to be common practice with Tarantula.

There are some help videos available on the Tarantula site itself, but they have no sound: http://www.testiatarantula.com/help/. Ironically, the help page itself is blank. If you hover over the Help menu item, you'll have a few options for functionality. Those links have videos, so that's a good place to start.

I've found posting questions here and skimming the existing questions (many of which have answers) to be the most helpful. Luckily, Tarantula is pretty intuitive once you start playing with it.

    Hope that helps.

really? i guess it depends on what you compare it to.

Have you tried ReQtest?... now that is intuitive, easy and smooth!
Tarantula is just an other test task to do = try to figure out how it was meant.
and even if you sorta came to an insight about what they was aiming for, it doesn't mean the function works.
why else would everyone ask for a manual? cause we read manuals for fun?
    • There is no comparison exit if you compare a open source tool with a enterprise tool...ReQtest is not an open source tool.

I also missing the documentation. For me it is not clear how test objects, sets, etc. are interrelated. Additionally I need some information how to organize the tests.
