To our valued Quicken customers,

I’m Eric Dunn, the CEO of Quicken Inc.  It has been one year since I became the leader of the Quicken business, and almost 6 months since Quicken Inc. was established as an independent company backed by H.I.G. Capital (a leading private equity firm with a track record for investing in and building strong businesses).  Over the past year, I’ve talked to many customers like you, and have heard your feedback on your experience with Quicken, what you like about it, and what could be improved.  Today, I want to provide you with an update on how we’re delivering on our commitment to improve our products and your experience with them.

Over the last year, we have significantly increased our investment in U.S.- based phone support so that we can do a better job of answering your questions.  To the same end, we have revamped our Quicken Community and customer care websites.  We’ve also increased our product development resources by 40%, with a focus on staffing up our Quicken Mac and Mobile teams ... while continuing to improve the usability and robustness of Quicken for Windows.  For Quicken for Mac, this focus enabled us to introduce 12-month budgets, the #1 requested feature by users, to all Quicken 2016 for Mac customers in May, and to make significant enhancements to reconcile and the portfolio view a few months later.

Our product development teams are hard at work on Quicken 2017, which will be launching this fall.  Our 2017 products will include features that our Mac and Mobile customers have been asking for, new functionality that will give customers a more accurate picture of their net worth, and usability and reliability improvements across all of our products.  I have been using Beta versions of both our 2017 Mac and Windows products myself for several months, and I am confident that you will be pleased by what’s to come this fall with Quicken. I look forward to having you try these new versions out.

Going forward, my team and I are committed to continuing to make Quicken even better.  I appreciate your feedback and your loyalty, and look forward to introducing ongoing improvements over the coming months.

Thank you for being a loyal Quicken customer.

Sincerely,
Eric
