Quicken 2016 Windows on Windows 10 anniversary release has connectivity problems error CC-501 cannot connect with Quicken Servers and bank states it is a Quicken Problem. Will not Download Transactions

You can give a try to Refresh branding or deactivating and reactivating the account with which you are facing problem.

Before trying anything, create backup of data file. File >> Backup & Restore >> Backup data file.

Steps for Refresh branding:
  1. Choose the Tools menu > Online Center.
  2. Hold down CTRL+SHIFT on your keyboard and click Contact Info (at the top of the window) with your mouse.
  3. In the dialog box that is displayed, select the problem account from the drop down menu.
  4. With the account selected, check  the box for Financial Institution Branding and Profile and click on the Refresh button.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each account that is having problems.
  6. Click the Update/Send button at the top of the Online Center to complete the connection.
If you still face the problem, deactivate account using below steps:
  1. Select the Tools menu and select Account List. The Account List window opens
  2. Select the account for which you want to deactivate online services, and then click Edit. The Account Details window opens
  3. Click the Online Services tab
  4. Click Deactivate next to the service you want to disable
  5. Click Yes to the message asking if you want to disable this service. 
  6. Click OK to the confirmation message
Once account deactivate, please follow the below steps to reactivate the account:
  1. Open the Account List (Ctrl + A)
  2. Click the Edit button on the account you want to reactivate
  3. Go to the Online Services tab and click the Setup Now button
  4. Type in the financial institution name and walk through the wizard
  5. Choose LINK on the screen displayed to you after Quicken finds the available accounts at the financial institution for your login credentials and carefully link to your existing Quicken account(s).
