Just wondering if Quicken is considering a Canadian version for Mac. I know there has been many many posts over the years and there seems to be interest in it. I will need to purchase a new computer just to run it so any information will be helpful before I start shopping.
Thanks very much

I think if you put in "Quicken Canada Mac" in the search box above (and on the home page) you will find this question has been answered quite a bit of times.

But I'm going to add this, I don't think it is in the best interest of any user to push for a Canadian version.
If that were to be done would probably just result in splitting up the development so that the Canadian users end up with a product that lags behind the main US version, as it does in the Windows version.

Instead people should be pushing for the features they need in the existing Quicken Mac.

I as a Canadian Mac user wholeheartedly agree...the only thing missing in the Mac version that is specific to Canada are the tax forms and categories linked to them, if you really need this. Otherwise, there is not much you cannot do the the current Mac version for Canadian needs.

Splitting it would also mean losing the ability to hold both Canadian and US banks accounts and download from both. Currently the US and CA versions of Quicken for Windows separates this and it is a pain for cross-border users because if they have enough volume to warrant doing automated downloads, they have to get 2 separate versions. Not a good direction for Canadians.

I say just keep adding any missing functionality that Canadians need to the existing Mac version.

Just to add to this...two versions of the same year cannot co-exist on the same computer without the use of some work-around, like the use of VM. So one more reason to keep them together.

Thank-you both for your comments. After doing a little more research I agree 100% with your thoughts on this. I was just worried about my Canadian bank and Credit Union downloads.
