Is the Opening Balance transaction in your account register correct?
Does it show the correct Balance for the transaction date as shown in your bank statement for that day?
Is that the oldest transaction, by Date?

Yes but to the right the balance is negative and wrong but up at the top is the correct balance!

Sounds like your register is not sorted by date, possibly in reverse order. Click on the title of the Date column to adjust your sort and see if that corrects the issue for you.

Also, what type of account is this appearing in?  Because in Liability accounts (e.g. Loans or credit cards) the balance IS typically Red and Negative ... indicating that you owe money.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words ...
Can you please capture one or more images of the parts of your Quicken window showing the issue, sensitive information blacked out as necessary to protect your privacy but annotated to describe the situation, and attach the image(s) here?
The Windows Snipping Tool (available with Windows 7 and up) can be used to capture a partial screen image and save it to a file.  Microsoft Paint can be used to annotate the image.
