how do I load an OFX file without accepting latest update

When I try to ingest an OFX file, Quicken tries to update first, but insists that I close the open instance.  The last 4 or 5 times I updated I spent the next 6 hours or so trying to get the beast working again.  Additionally, there is nothing mentioned in the release notes that interests me, so I do not want to update.  But I do want to load the OFX file (which worked two weeks ago BTW)

suggestions?

I just figured out that Windows10 describes the QFX file as  "Quicken OFX data" . so the problem remains the same except that the file type is actually QFX, not OFX.

This is a known issue.  See:  https://getsatisfaction.com/quickencommunity/topics/new-5-19-17-import-qfx-reports-msi-error-1706-on...

I found a work-a-round by saving the .QFX file to my workstation and then importing it using File > File Import > Web Connect File ..

Great !  that works for my problem with update too ... I just spent two hours on a chat with a quicken agent and her supervisor & they couldn't figure this out.  They spent the first hour telling me that the problem would be fixed by updating. DUH. LOL.  Now they are going to call me next week.
