I am getting Error 106 when I try to download my Chase credit card accounts on Qmac 2017. I can log in to my Chase account on the computer with no problem. This has been going on intermittently for a few weeks, but it happens more often than not.

Set-up all your Chase accounts in Quicken with Direct Connect connectivity...
Chase offers FREE, Direct Connect to their clients with personal accounts. You should go to your account at Chase.com and sign up for Direct Connect. After this set-up all your Chase accounts in Quicken with Direct Connect. Direct Connect takes Quicken, Inc. (actually servers are Intuit owned servers) out of the picture and this minimizes errors you see. Direct Connect is the preferred type of connectivity!

According to the Chase site, I have already allowed Quicken to access my Chase accounts directly.

"You've set up your Chase accounts so financial management software (like Quicken®1) can access them directly. To remove this access, contact Help & support at 1-877-CHASEPC (1-877-242-7372)."

Ok, so you have verified Chase has let you access Direct Connect.. Now, are in fact, all your Chase accounts set-up with Direct Connect connectivity?

Yes, and everything worked fine up until about 2 weeks ago.

Deactivate ALL your Chase accounts and then reactivate them.

Also, have you tried going to Chase.com, your account there, and initiating a download from that CC account to Quicken.

I tried deactivating one account and now I cannot reactivate it. I get the same message.

Error 106 appears to be an account nickname mismatch. Did you or the bank change account nicknames at the bank's website? Does the nickname contain unusual characters like (R) registered trademark icon or "/' slashes? Remove those at the website.

Also be sure to deactivate ALL accounts with this bank and logon ID before reactivating.

Five stars for this answer!  I had changed the nicknames on the Chase website a couple weeks ago and the problem started then. I changed them back to the default account name and the downloads work now. Thanks!

The account nicknames on the Chase website were the problem. I had changed them to custom nicknames, but when I changed them back to the default names, the problem went away.
