I have Windows 10 64 Bit exactly same here I've wasted a lot of time this PM trying to uninstall, re-install, etc. -- and no luck whatsoever! Further more Quicken 2016 is not quitting properly, it closes the file and then just hangs there and I have to close it with the Task Manager:(

Resolved import by importing Web Connect file into Quicken program vs just opening the web connect download file.  Not preferred way to resolve.

Followed the instructions Splasher provided above and loaded the OFX file that the Wells Fargo site created. File is typically located in the Downloads folder.

Using Quicken 2016. I too have the problem, starting today. It wants to update but can't find Quicken installation file ??.msi. Only happens if I start quicken by clicking on the data file. If I just click the executable it loads ok.
I uninstalled and reinstalled; so far, so good.

I was able to deactivate my web connect to my financial institution in Quicken, the close and re-open quicken and go to Edit my account, then restart the set up for that account and it worked! I was able to download recent transactions directly from Quicken through Web Connect Sync.

Did this after first encountering the problem. Mondo patch did not fix it. Nor do the notes on the patch address the issue.

The mondo Patch never even work to install! I found that other Financial Institutes stopped working as well. Then I realized that I was running Quicken 16 R11, when before, it said R12. I checked for updates in Quicken, installed them and everything seems fine for now...

Official Response
We're investigating this issue and hope to have a resolution as quickly as possible--in the meantime, you can follow this announcement to be notified when this issue is resolved: https://getsatisfaction.com/quickencommunity/topics/new-5-19-17-import-qfx-reports-msi-error-1706-on...

In the meantime, we'd like to get this information from you, if possible:
  1. Did you recently install a Windows update?
  2. What version of Windows are you using?

To get the exact version of Windows, you can go to the Start menu, click Run and type "cmd" (or, in Windows 10, right-click the Start/Windows menu on the left of the toolbar and click Run).  In the prompt that appears, type "winver" and a Window with the exact version number will appear.

Thank you for your patience while we investigate this issue--
Quicken Kathryn

Same issue here as of this morning, have been pulling my hair out. Trying to download directly from my two financial institutions into Quicken Deluxe 2016 R12. Each time I get the same missing msi file error message. Running Windows 10 64 bit version 1703. Last update I had was the update to Creators Edition - version 1703, that was about a week or so ago and had no problems with this until today.

Same here, but with 2015.msi.  I was using Quicken this morning and when I closed it to reopen msi was gone and now I'm totally dead in the water.

It does suck. We've been waiting from early today for Quicken to provide some positive feedback. Nothing yet.

If you have access to Windows 7, I've found that Quicken 2016 works with it.

Fix.  Look to side of this page for release 2015 or 2017 links.  Use Mondo if you download from bank.

I have shortcuts to two .QDF files that open Quicken with the respective file. They no longer work as of yesterday and I get the prompt for Quicken 2016.msi.   I have no problem launching quicken directly and opening the file and Online Update still works.

This problem is described nicely at the other thread that's now closed for comment with no resolution posted:
https://getsatisfaction.com/quickencommunity/topics/new-5-19-17-import-qfx-reports-msi-error-1706-on...

Windows 10 Pro x64 and just installed update KB3150513 yesterday and before that KB4019472 on 5/10/17.

Update today on Sunday 5/21/2017.  Downloading any .QFX file from any of my financial accounts still not working as of this morning.  I have not seen any updates from Quicken support out on this forum since Friday.  Anyone I have talked to in my family, friends and workers that use Quicken are having these same issues so this is not just a few reported incidents, it is much bigger than that.  PLEASE Quicken Support find a solution to this issue and keep us all up to date within this Forum.  Thanks

I was able to run the Mondo patch and I can also verify it has resolved the issue. I would like Quicken support to come back to us in this community topic to let us know exactly what happened and why it broke.  Also, wanted to note to be sure you select the correct Mondo patch for the specific version of Quicken you are using, mine was 2015 Home and Business and this is the link I used for this version which worked for me: https://www.quicken.com/support/quicken-2015-windows-release-notes-updates-and-mondo-patch.  If you look to the right of the main patch page it gives you links to various versions for the patch.  Thanks everyone for the Help and comments back.

I just ran the patch for QN 16 (on mondayn morning) and the Mondo Patch corrected the issue - Note when I ran the patch it indicated that I had  R- 11 installed - I had R-12.  Also previously I ran this patch on Saturday wil no results.
