We are currently investigating reports of Users receiving a "Oops, we've hit a snag" or "Oops, something went wrong" error message when activating accounts for download in Quicken for Windows and Quicken for Mac.

If this error is received, please log directly into your account at Capital One's website and look for any action items that might need to be resolved such as a message or notification.  Once resolved please return to Quicken and try once again to Add or Update accounts.

(Quicken for Windows Users please update using the Account Actions gear wheel in the upper right corner of the account register > Update Now option)

If you would like to be notified when this issue is resolved, please "follow" this announcement.

Thank you!

RESOLVED: 7/31/18

Hi All,

We are happy to announce that the "Oops" error being received when updating or adding accounts with Capital One is now resolved.  Our mutual investigation with Capital One identified the cause as a security update released on July 18th which triggered the error message and prevented Quicken from connecting correctly.

With the root cause identified a fix was created and all Capital One accounts should now Add or Update successfully.  If you continue to experience difficulties connecting with Capital One, please create a new post detailing the issue for the best assistance.

Thank you!
