Problem with my new Quicken 2017. When I select the Online Center when select make a transfer (from the Downloaded Transactions section, NOT from the Online Center Toolbar, I am show Ending Balance for each acct, NOT the Current balance. Creates problems when I have multiple accounts and wish to transfer funds between them.

Hi @ Nancy Niederhauser ,

See this Article for New Posters: https://getsatisfaction.com/quickencommunity/topics/add-your-quicken-information-to-your-posts-plus-...

What is the R# for Quicken? What version?

Example:
Quicken 2018 Rental Property Manager R3
Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Build 14905.1000 taken from winver.

You can use Quicken to record Transfers, but can't use Quicken to initial the transfers. That's done at the Branch or at the Bank's Website.

My version is 2017 for windows R3 Build 26.1.3.4. FYI, I CAN initiate online payments or transfers via Quicken. Have done so for years. It is the Online Center accessed via the Download Transactions area (below the register) where it shows Register Balance (including future transactions) and NOT the Current/Online Balance. The Online Center on the Toolbar shows the correct balance info.

A follow up to this issue after assistance from Quicken Tech support. They determined that the Online Ctr transfers point to "register balance" not current balance on purpose. This allegedly goes back at least  to my prior version 2014. Which is not my memory. They offered to have me reinstall 2014 (Deluxe) in order to get a screen shot. Since they explained the situation is on purpose, not a bug, and their research shows it is a long time design, I declined to go through all the trouble to check it out. This design makes no sense: when you transfer between accounts, you need to see current balance, not balance in a month (which is how I pre-populate my register). Oh well. I must give kudos to the tech support folks who worked with me, for thoroughness and attentiveness.

FYI, clarified that the Transaction tab of the Online center, both on tool bar and at Download area show correct/current online amount. AND, transfer tab in both places shows "register" balance.
