Resolved: Error LA:2261 with Quicken Online Backup

Some users are reporting an error LA:2261 - Capacity Exceeded when trying to use Quicken Online Backup.  Unfortunately, there was an issue with the backup utility in Quicken that didn't properly notify you of backup account overages until it was fixed in a recent server update.  The error message you're receiving in Quicken is accurate--according to the Quicken Online Backup service, you have exceeded the available backup space on the Online Backup servers for your account. 

The currently available options are:
  • Backup your Quicken data using the Quicken Online Backup Utility, rather than backing up directly from Quicken program.
  • Increase your accounts storage capacity (paid storage).

We've fixed the data cap limits that were causing LA:2261 errors.  Quicken Online Backup subscribers should now no longer experience this issue when backing up their files.
