When I load the app, I don't see any covers. When I try searching, it seems like I don't have any music, but I definitely do.

I'm on an iPhone 3G running the latest iPhone OS.

Did you see a 'talking to iPod' message & progress bar on first launch?

The easiest fix might be to re-sync with iTunes or play a track to the end using the iPod app. This will tell Albums to update its music library cache on next launch.

It now recognises albums but not artists. Will try syncing with iTunes tonight.

A few small changes were made in 1.1, available from the app store today. Has this solved your problems?

I'm still not seeing any artists, only albums. I've tried syncing with iTunes, and I've just tried the 1.1 update, and it's still the same. Weird.

I just got v. 1.2, and for me there aren't any albums, just artists and their albums, so I can't add compilations.

I'll try syncing to iTunes later.

As of Albums 1.3, Albums.app no longer needs to stay in sync with your iPod library - it accesses the library directly. You won't see an empty library any more.

Apple added quite a lot to the media library access API in 4.2, which Albums 1.3 requires.
