  • In order to recover your username you need to access the app's files. On iOS that is not easy because you have to mount your iPhone or iPad on a Mac OS X computer. If your operating system is iOS 8.3 or greater then it appears impossible unless you jailbreak your phone (not recommended).

For older or jailbroken phones you can use a freeware program called iFunBox, here:

    http://www.i-funbox.com/index.html

Alternatively, you can use the command prompt by following these instructions:

Once you have mounted the drive you need to access the application's files. They will be located in the Easy Password Storage folder that stores application data.

Copy all those files to your computer. Included in those files is the database which stores your encrypted username and encrypted passwords. The username is encrypted with our developer key, so it we can access it. The passwords are encrypted your Master Password, so we cannot ever recover those.

Email the contents of the folder to me at mike@rebrandsoftware.com and I will attempt to recover the username.

  • Wow this seems incredibly stupid not to have a recovery process to retrieve something as simple as a username. Great way to lose all ur passwords. Lol
