  • Hi Rich,

I would be happy to give you a refund based on our refund policy (https://getsatisfaction.com/rebrand_s...), but I would also be glad to help you find out what is wrong.

First, you need to make sure that the installer isn't being infected by a virus on your machine. You can do this by uploading your installer to VirusTotal.com and sending me the results. I will upload the installer we sent you and check the results to see if the file has been changed since it was delivered to you.

Keep in mind that we can only guarantee the software will be virus free until it leaves our server. Once it is on your computer, or is downloaded by your customers, it could easily become infected with a virus on a different machine.

Second, if there is indeed a virus we can send you a new copy. You should only open it on a machine that is known to be virus free.

Third, it's possible that there is a false positive virus detection. If you can post the details about the virus I can tell you exactly what is going on. With the information you provided I can't tell what CNET is detecting or how to fix it.

  • Remove the viruses from the software you sent me. Dion;t say that I put a virus in it from my machine as that is ridiculous. It was there when you sent it to me. I check the viruscheck.com and it does have the virus so fix it

  • Hi Rich,

The reason I am asking you to do these things is that the only way to be sure of where the virus came from, or if there is a virus at all, is to analyze the file we sent versus the file you have now.

In any case, I see you have emailed me the results I asked for. It looks like there have been no changes to the file since I uploaded it to you.

    Here is the report: https://www.virustotal.com/file/91e59...

What I'm seeing is a lot of false positives. See all those things that say "Variant of DisableSpyware/MalwareWipe/FakeAV/etc? It thinks your software is a different program.

I'm seeing the same types of false positives in our demo version. I think the best way for me to proceed is to simply refund your order in full. I don't know where these false positives are coming from, but until I can resolve it I am going to remove this product for sale from our website.

Normally we don't allow full refunds when we have already completed and delivered a product but I will make an exception in this case.
