Failure to control, can only start

I'm able to start Spotify from my Iphone but it keeps returning to the "Start Spotify on computer" screen even though this has already been done. It was working fine yesterday and I haven't changed anything since then.

What OS? Do you have the newest windows 7 beta of Spotify? (We have problems with that right now...)

Yes, it can't fine SIMBL. Did you install it? Did you restart after? Could you try to install it again? Remoteless needs simbl to work. Check out the install instructions again under http://blog.remoteless.no If you have installed SIMBL, its not where its supposed to be. Maybe you need to install it for all users? When you have tried, call diagnostics again 'from the menu' and all should turn gree.

Almost same problem on my MacBook Pro (iPad 1), latest versions of Spotify, OS-X and iOS. I can start Spotify from my iPad, but then the Browse button does not respond :-(

I send out a fix today, whenever Spotify change stuff in new versions, there is a small chance that Remoteless stops to work. They probably changed the window style of the client. New helper tonight!

Same problem here. The app was working after first startup, since then its been dead. I hate paying money for something that doesn't work....

Hi guys, I need to know the following: Are you on a MAC or a PC? What is it that does not work? (software have bugs, but we need to know whats wrong to fix it.)

If you are unhappy with remoteless, you are free to ask for your money back at the appstore. This will also remove the app from your phone.

Currently we have over 10.000 working helpers out there, so even if it does not work for you, it actually work, and we will work hard to make it work for everybody.

If you use the MAC version, its still in beta, but its getting better slowly, and hopefully a release isn't that far away.

If this thing, to start Spotify on the PC with the iPhone is a new feature its not working, needer does Remotless, even after renewing the connection with new code.

Hi, Starting Spotify is one of the first features we implemented over a year ago. Please tell us what isn't working in detail, so that we can try to reproduce it ourself. We also need to know if its Windows or Mac.

Cannot get Iphone 4 to connect to Spotify (although it used to do so)

Am running XP on my PC and I have installed the New SpotifyRemotelessHelper. Am on iphone 4 and all i get is a message connecting and the app just hangs.

When will this be fixed

Sorry to have troubled you. I have traced the problem to my firewall and have now fixed it. The new helper did the trick.

Hey,
remoteless has always been working fine for me. but with the newest spotify update, i can't get it to work anymore.
i installed the NEW remoteless helper on windows 7 (64bit). when starting the remoteless app on the ipod touch it connects and then only shows the screen saying "Start Spotify on computer". When i click on the green icon it even starts spotify on my computer, but there is still no reaction by the app. so i can't click "Favorites and Search" nor does it show what the computer is playing.
any help? what can i do?

The helper does not detect spotify. If you open About, does it say 221? (just to be sure?) If so, could you take a screenshot and send it to ander@remoteless.no

Thank's, an update from 220 to 221 fixed it, how do I get notifyed when there is updates availible on RemotlessHelper in the future?

it says 220, even though i uninstalled the previous version and installed the newest version from your homepage... what am i doing wrong?

ok, i got it. found the answer in some different post. chrome obviously just pretended to download the helper. instead it just gave me an old version - strange.... everything works fine again!!! :)

Great, this chrome issue is strange, next time we need to include version number in the filename so that chrome does not eat our update.

yeah, definitely strange... including the version number sounds like a good idea. i was so happy with chrome... but that makes me suspicious. how old are the "news" i'm reading with chrome? ;)

Does this forum still work? I have done exactly as you said on the download page but it isnt working. I clicked on 3 help links to set it up manually but it seems that you don't have any help page at all.
The diagnostic tells me all 3 things are running. Both iPhone and iPad finds my computer but then it freezes as ...Connetcing.

Complete the app before releasing it!

Hi, We are sorry that you did not find any help pages, mostly when people have trouble, we help them as soon as possible, and then that help is stored on this forum.

Did you restart the Helper? Did you restart the apps (by double clicking on home, and then holding, and then pressing the little red minus sign?). Did it help? After a restart, is the tekst under the name of the computer displayed on the iPhone still green? Do you have the newest mac release?

Hi, I have installed the app yesterday and it worked perfectly the first time (on Mac OS X Snow Leopard) but since I have tried to import my playlists, the app hang on "connecting..." status : what's the problem ? I have bought the app and would appreciate to use it !

is it possible to also add the "starred playlist" and how ? thanks for your help

Would be great if you started with a new question, since it is hard for us to keep track of answers to comments.

One trick is to completely shut down the app and start it again.

Ok, I think we have a connection bug here, where the helper connection code crashes and requires a restart of the helper. We will try our best to resolve this bug.
