Privacy issues with the new Groups service

Hi - Great product.

I have just opened a group to which I have invited a colleague. However, I have discovered that I can see the exact websites he is accessing, which is a big privacy issue, as I don't really want to know the details of his intimacy. How do I avoid seeing such detailed information, or such information being sent to other members of the group? I just want to share tags, really.

Hi Jon-

The goal with groups is to minimize that exposure be only showing you (as a user) your own data and the aggregate data of the group. As you say, in a SMALL group, it gets pretty obvious what people are up to.

In your case your colleague can opt to leave the group OR you can take advantage of our various privacy features ( http://rescuetime.com/privacy_checklist ) to minimize the exposure. The best option for you (I think) is using WhiteLists ( http://rescuetime.com/whitelists ).

Cheers,
