Thanks for bringing this up!

If you call the keyboard from the blue toolbar in the bottom (touch in the blue area to open it) or by tapping anywhere on the screen with 3, 4 or 5 fingers, both on screen and bluetooth keyboards should work.

New version with improved bluetooth keyboard experience will soon be available.

Thus far, I have had a terrible experience using the rollapp option for open office on the ipad. It doesn't seem to work at all, and seems completely incompetent. When I hit a button with my keyboard (logitech ultrathin for ipad) the letter runs away until it skips to next line. Is there a way to get this to work, or is it completely disfunctional?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

When you say that you're digging to get up and running soon, what do you mean exactly? Is it the Ipad option for Open Office that you are trying to get up and running, and is therefore, officially currently not running, and/or is it the compatibility with external keyboards for the Ipad that you are trying to get going?

Some clarification on this issue would help a lot.

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Eric,

This an issue in compatibility with external keyboards. We are working on an update to fix this problem.

Thank you,
Dima

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Do you have any sense of when this update will be ready, and if and when it is ready, to what extent keyboard shortcuts will be active -- because presumably anyone wanting to use this application seriously on the Ipad, will want to use it with a real keyboard.

In addition, I recommend you publicize this deficiency to the public. One of the reasons I invested in this Ipad and the keyboard was a belief in the now evidently false assumption that I could you use these devices with openoffice.

Best,

Eric
