Firefox Quantum really is that good, I almost abandoned it because of the slowness of it all. Firefox 57 got all up to speed and it's such a huge difference!
But now my sage plugin does not work anymore on FF57, which is due on 14th of november. Will there be a sage version for FF57?
edit: I did search if I could find any imilar threads, but must have overlooked it. sry for the duplicate thread..

Lost sage today with the update. Any plans to support the new APIs?

Oh boy, Sage is key for me and Quantum just killed it. Really hoping to hear there'll be an update. Halp?

Please please update the code so we can use with the new FF version!

While you wait for a possible Sage update, I would try Feedbro. It's what I switched to with FF57, and it's working well. It's a bit different than Sage, but not terribly so. If you exported your Sage feeds to an opml file ahead of time, you can easily import those feeds into Feedbro.

I'm playing with Feedbro right now it's a decent replacement but it makes me miss the way Sage has the UI arranged, with the feed list on top and a small list of the articles on the currently selected feed at the bottom. Feedbro might suffice, but I hope Sage gets updated. I hate change :)

i miss sage too.
how can i import my sagefeeds to Feedbro? Or, how can i change my sagefeeds in a opmlfile if sage doesn't work? Any hints would be welcome

You have to export your sage feeds into an opml file BEFORE you update to FF57. Then update to FF57, install Feedbro, and import the opml file.

yes, i thought so. but, too late...
i didn't realise it will be such a great change in everthing with FF57.

In the last few years I have tried many feed readers but the only one that I've always used is Sage.
Since it does not work with firefox 57 I have installed a portable version of firefox esr I added Sage and imported the opml file.
So in the expectation that Sage will be up to date using firefox esr portable.
