I myself had 280 songs in my iTunes Library but only 279 songs on my iPod. I found out my problem. There was one song I wanted on the iPod but didn't want to show up when I did shuffle.

So, what I had done was to go to the Options for that particular song and check the option that said "skip when shuffling". THAT was the reason my iPod said it had one less than it really did; because the shuffle skipped it.

It may not be the same for you, but I'd go and check your songs and see if any of them have the option "skip when shuffling" marked.

Also, go to Settings -> About and see how many songs that says you have. It ought to give you the number you believe it currently hold.

Hope this helps!

I too, had 7000 songs. This program has only moved 1300 (!!!) into iTunes. When I try copying into a folder, that doesn't work either. HELPPP!
