Scott Mission Skis - Warranty Issue

  • Idea
  • Updated 3 years ago
I have Scott Mission skis which I have skied on about 12 times over last season and this, mainly out west on vacations. I ski normally at Waterville Valley in NH. Last week, the protective layer started peeling off while skiing at Snowbasin in Utah. The shop did a crude epoxy repair but indicated that this was a warranty issue and I should get in touch with Scott. Can you advise me as to how to proceed?

Hey Mike,

You're right, this is something that should not happen.
In order for the warranty issue to be taken care of, you need to take the ski back to the shop you bought them from. They will then let you know what the next steps are and what can be done.

Hope this helped!

Cheers,
J

Jan:

Seems so easy except I bought the skis online from SkiUniverse in Las Vegas and I live in New England. Not going to work as far as returning through a shop.

Mike,

Oh, beauty of online shopping.
Have you tried contacting SkiUniverse? Warranty is usually handled through the shop. This should not be any different for an online-shop.

Bought them in Oct 2010, is the warranty still in effect. If so, I will try to contact them.

Thanks, but I need to know the warranty timeframe.
