How can I disable it from ever showing again. I have to click that x every time I login to update my site.

Hi Ankur. I asked how is it turned off (as in comment # line in *.php to kill the function) not how can I hide it. It shows every time I load a page in admin, even if it's not relate to the pluggin at all. Is it a bug? Blogaid seems to suggest that only appears once, which is not my case.

Can we turn off that function right?

Thank you for the reply of how to disable it. I edited the code and it's gone now. FYI, there is definitely a bug if it should be disabled for 30 days after the first time it's hidden. And, I don't appreciate having an ad that hassles me to the point of having to modify the code. It's likely that less tech savvy folks will find another plugin over this.

I don't have an x by the ad on the top of my dashboard. So I have no choice but to configure the code. This constant ad feels like spam.

Could you please add the option to disable this into the plugin's configuration in the dashboard?

I had to comment out both lines 1790 and 1791 to get rid of it. This is really irritating!

Someone said above that this feels like Spam, and I agree. This is BULLSHIT! Every time i go into my admin panel I have this bar at the top.. 30-days my ass.

Unless you rapidly fix this I am quite sure you will loose a lot of potential customers, especially since there are a bundle of alternatives out on the market.

I will not edit the code to remove this error, fix this or loose a customer with about 150.000 hits to our site (daily). Oh, I'm running rev.4.0.6.1 of a plugin that used to be useful, but now is considered an annoyance.

I agree, this is way too spammy. Who came up with the 30 days idea? I have uninstalled the plugin and won't be using it. You are driving away users with an agressive and senseless marketing ploy.

I agree with the posters above. The plugin is cute, but the annoying spam goes permanently or I do.

Anyone recommend a good alternative that doesn't spam me all the time?

Seriously, apply a hotfix - remove the bar, then go test this internally. You are loosing customers because someone on your side thought the idea with the bar looked good on paper.

@Anik,

How do we comment out the bar with the recent update?

That was awful... commented out. Don't advertise to us outside of where Sexybookmarks lives. It doesn't belong all over our wordpress admin areas. The settings page for SB would have been fine.

Agreed, keeping it in the SB settings page would be appropriate.

Great work Devs,

As I have yet to see a fix for this problem I have decided to remove your plugin from my webpage (and use a competitor that actually listens and tries to respond in kind), as it's both annoying to my users and is considered spam.

Way to go! Hope you don't loose all your customers due to this mess!
