Changed reply in topic of Consolidated performance report across multiple portfolios by Scott Ryburn to Hi Mike,

I agree that being able to group by share code such that you see a line item for each holding along with a subtotal would be a nice improvement. We certainly welcome further feedback from other users on the importance of this.

Currently we group by market (eg ASX, NZX, NASDAQ etc) for the purposes of providing subtotals and we know that's not always the way you'd like to view things. We'd like to introduce more flexibility into the way you can view the reports, in particular we like the idea of some 'group by' options so that you could group shares by either market, country, industry classification etc, or in the case of consolidated views, group by share code. This would provide a subtotal for each group. This functionality obviously requires a bit of work so we decided to release consolidated views first, we had a few unforeseen delays with this already so we didn't want to keep you waiting any longer!

As the current market groupings are already subtotalled, providing sub-subtotals within this grouping is not very practical within our current reporting framework. Three levels of totals gets a bit messy and we'd end up breaking other useful features like the column sort. We plan to continue to develop and improve consolidated views and appreciate the continuing feedback on this.

.
