BT wholesale fund issue

Hi I just created an account to manage my portfolio. Does anybody know of any issues with the BT Equity Income Wholesale fund? I have entered all of the correct dates, number of units and unit prices but it is calculating approximately 20,000 units less than my actual holding. I can send further details including screenshots but just thought I would check if there is a simple explanation for this issue.
many thanks, Mark

  • Hi Mark,

Can you please send a screenshot of your holding though to support@sharesight.com and we can take a look.

Also, can you just confirm the code for this holding. I'm struggling to find an exact match.

Typically the number of units should simply be reflected by the number of units made up from each of your buys and sells.

Either way, it is probably easiest for us to simply look at what you have entered.

    Regards
    Ben

  • Hi Ben,

Thanks for your message. Please find attached screenshot showing the holdings in the BT webpage. As you can see my holdings are 170055 units not 158231 as calculated by Sharesight.

I entered all the correct details including dates, the amounts and the unit prices. As you can see my actual holdings with BT are 170,055.46 units. Even with all the correct details added into Sharesight the holdings has calculated as 158,231.99 units.

The shares are correct but as the BT Equity Income is a major part of my portfolio I want to resolve this is I am to use Sharesight.

The fund is the BT Balanced Equity Income Fund (https://btim.com.au/products/bt-balan...). I think it is BTA0428AU on the Sharesight page.

    Many thanks,

  • also when I emailed support@sharesight.com with screenshots I was told that I could not receive personal support when I do not have an investor or expert paid account

  • Hi Mark,

If you go into the holding for BT Balanced Equity Income BT Investment Management Ltd that you have loaded in sharesight and view the 'All Trades & Adjustments' panel, this will show you a simple listing of all the buys you have entered and the dividend reinvestments.

All we do is tally this up to give you the value of 158,231.99. The only thing that could have happened as far as I can tell is that you may have missed one of the buys or dividend re-investments.

I would compare each of the transactions again against those in your BTCorporateAccount.

Also, while we don't generally offer support via email unless you are on an investor or expert paid account, I was keen to help out if possible in this case. Obviously we only have limited resources to respond directly to every request. But we do try if at all possible.

I've archived this thread off the community forum so others do not see your screen shot.

I hope this helps a little to sort out the discrepancy between your BT account and sharesight.

    Regards
    Ben
