How to withdraw funds from a portfilio

Am I right in assuming that when a portfolio holding is sold the funds transfer to my bank account?

  • Hi Michael,

When a sell is recorded in Sharesight, yes you would expect that the funds are then dispersed to your broker's trade reconciliation account.

Keep in mind that Sharesight is ONLY a reporting tool and that we do not actually handle the transactions or dispersal of funds.

If you'd like to track your cash balance in Sharesight, you may do so by adding a Xero account: http://help.sharesight.com.au/setting...

You could also manually maintain a cash balance using our custom security feature: http://help.sharesight.com.au/unquote...

Furthermore, you can opt to display your sold positions inside Sharesight as well within the advanced settings menu on the portfolio overview page.
