I get the same with the overview report. I dont dare try closed with the performance report. I rarely use closed positions as it takes so long to load as I would have many shareholdings that are closed over time.
It is annoying. I am hoping that Sharesight will fix the speed of loading soon. And I hope the closed position loading failure will be fixed right away. Basically you are locked out of even changing to open only as nothing will load which is so frustrating.

  • Hi Fiona, Ray,

My apologies for the delay in responding.

We are investigating these issues now and will get back to you ASAP.

In reference to your comment about performance Ray, it is a priority of ours to tackle some of our more intractable performance issues. We are working on this problem from a number of angles. Last week we rolled out the first stage of a new caching feature that will speed up your portfolio load times by around 80% for subsequent visits to the overview within a 24 hour period.

The full benefit of this work will be available to all users within the next six weeks or so.

This work won't solve our performance issues, but it will help. We have other performance work underway as well, the first stage of which was delivered with our new performance report. In the coming months you should see some improved design that will allow you to navigate more freely around the site while we continue to crunch your performance figures behind the scenes.

  • So I am getting this on my aggregated portfolio. Does this apply just to the graph or is the summary (numerical) data also inaccurate?
    • Hi James,

The summary data, once displayed will be accurate.

You may find that de-selecting 'showing closed positions' will result in the chart loading.

We plan to roll out some performance improvements in the new year that will address some of the performance issues raised in this topic. You will hear more from us regarding these improvements in late January.
