Site sluggish to load now

The site is very sluggish to load lately and the graphs sometimes time out. I know improvements are being made currently. Also I prefer the option to show $ or % returns to be next to each group rather than a global tickbox at the top of the screen which means a lot of scrolling now. That's all. Thanks for a tremendous site. I love it.

  • Hi, Thanks for your feedback on this! We have recently rolled out the first phase of some fairly large and complex behind the scenes changes designed to provide us with a better framework to offer substantially improved page speed performance going forward. We are rolling out these changes iteratively to reduce risk, eliminate downtime, and ensure that we can address any issues that arise as promptly as possible along the way.

Although right now you should not expect to see any overall speed improvements, we have altered the portfolio overview page such that more content is delivered dynamically resulting in a faster initial load with more content populated as it is ready (as opposed to a longer wait to then see more content all at once). There are definitely some further optimisations to be made in this area to address some of the sluggishness that you are noticing and we are working to release these as fast as possible.

Overall we are confident that we can deliver some meaningful speed improvements over the coming weeks and are doing our best to minimise any disruption during this time.

Your feedback regrading the $/% switch has been noted and we will give some further consideration to this - certainly it does involve a bit more scrolling on larger portfolios.

  • Thanks Scott
If there is any possibility of reinstating the return for a portfolio and the value/%return to the top of the screen alongside the portfolio value that would be my preference. Now I have to scroll down past the graphs to see the return % which is the main figure I look at.

Also is it possible for you to see if you can have the mobile app remember the last used settings. For eg I usually look at the return on the app including sold positions. When I go in the next time on the app I have to go back to the settings again and tick sold positions every time. Just a suggestion. Thanks
