  • Hi Ricardo,

    Which stock are you referring to?

    Generally stock names are updated automatically in our system, although sometimes companies are listed under a new identifier as changing the listing name coincides with other changes to the investment listed.

  • I am setting up my historical portfolio. I am referring to situations where Sharesight does not automatically deal with the situation, but I have to. For example:

    APN.AX ---> HT1.AX

    Reference:

    "CHANGE OF COMPANY NAME AND ASX LISTING CODESYDNEY, 5 May 2017 – APN News & Media Limited ABN 95 008 637 643 (ASX:APN) (Company) is pleased to announce that, as approved by shareholders at its Annual General Meeting held on 4 May 2017, the Company’s name has changed from APN News & Media Limited to HT&E Limited. The name in the Company’s constitution has been amended accordingly (a copy of which is attached). The Company’s ASX Listing Code will change from APN to HT1 on 9 May 2017."

    another example:

    AHD.AX ----> EVT.AX (renamed 22/12/2015)

    In both cases Sharesight does not seem to know of the prior names and they have to added as custom "other".

  • Hi Ricardo,

    Although the name and symbol of these two companies changed, the underlying listings didn't.

    We do have records of these name change events on the dates you mention.

    If you had a holding manually for HT1 with a trade date that corresponds to a point in time when the company's symbol was APN you will need to find and add the listing under it's current listing HT1.

    However, if you loaded a csv of your trade history which included trades pre May 2017, then we will correctly import APN.ASX trades, but map them to the new symbol HT1.ASX.

    The same is true for AHD > EVT.
