Stockspot portfolio access via Sharesight

Hello. I've recently received a message from Sharesight that my Stockspot portfolio will no longer be visible on Sharesight but that I can still access my portfolio via Stockspot directly.

The amount of detail and functionality available on the Stockspot website is less than on Sharesight and I signed up to the Stockspot service noting that it advertised Sharesight as a strategic partner.

Could you kindly advise on the reason for this change?

Many thanks

  • Hi Ryan,

That's correct, Stockspot decided to build their own client-facing website with an emphasis on what they feel most appropriate for their clients. This was their decision.

However, you can still track your Stockspot portfolio on Sharesight because your account with us remains open (and free). Our customer service team can reinstate your portfolio. Please email emma@sharesight.com and she'll give you a hand.

My encouragement would be to track all your investments - regardless of whether they're advised by a professional or controlled by you - in Sharesight. In addition to our reports, our performance calculations are money-weighted and annualised, which gives you a true picture of how you're tracking and lets you make an apples-to-apples comparison with other financial benchmarks. Some fund managers and advisors will show you total return only.

Please note that you can track up to 10 holdings for free, but some functionality will only be available on our paid Investor Plan.

  • Dear Sharesight/Stockspot clients,

Please note you'll need to now contact Stockspot to get a CSV file with your trades to upload to your portfolio. We can no longer reinstate your portfolios from Stockspot going forward.

If you have retrieved your trades via the CSV file from Stockspot please email emma@sharesight.com and I will help you setup your portfolio for you.

    Cheers,

    Emma
