WP plugin bug

The wordpress plugin is quite bugged. I cannot customized. I'm using wp 3.0.1.

When I try to change styles they just stopped scrolling (the arrows get stuck) and also i cannot update it. I tried it with firefox, chrome and IE. With ie it fairly works (at the top it says the style you have chosen) but it gets stuck anyway...

Hi there,

Do you mean to say that when you click on the arrow it doesn't do anything, or when you click on it it keeps scrolling trough the services and won't stop?

when I click the arrow it doesn't do anything. Sometimes (but sometimes) it just move once, but after then i get stuck (doesn't move/display other options)

And when I was able to change the default option, I saved the setting but nothing happened.

This is very strange. Can you try removing the plugin entirely and re-installing?

Ohhhh, you are seeing all the options at once.

This is caused due to a missing JavaScript file that the plugin page cannot locate.

Normally we notice this if you do a manual install of the wordpress plugin and do not copy the entire folder, in particular it is looking for /plugins/share-this/wp_st_opt.js

You've got me really stumped... Are you running any other plugins that might be conflicting?

If you can't the plugin working, you can still add the code manually to your templates.

Here are the instructions to manually add the ShareThis button to your WordPress templates.

There are two parts of the ShareThis code. The Script and the spans.

The script will look something like this and go in your header template (header.php)

(Note: you will want to replace the 00000-00.... with your personal publisher ID)

The second part of the ShareThis code are the span tags. These go on the page where you want the buttons to appear and they also determine what kind of button appears as well as what URL and title it shares. You will want to put these in your Main index and Single Post templates (index.php and single.php) or wherever you want the buttons.

Here is the basic span for just the ShareThis button: will make a email vertical counter button.

You can read more about the different types of buttons here: http://help.sharethis.com/customizati...
