The ability to input custom race and classes is fantastic. However, I would REALLY love to see an option to add (an optional) custom Games section to that as well that can be displayed on the character roster as well as the New Application page.
So, for example, when you see the applications on the list it will look something like:
[Game] [Level] [Race] [Class]
Currently, Shivtr isn't really multi-gaming friendly within a single guild, which makes it difficult to organize things.
I would also love to see an option to add individual ranks to the characters themselves for the character roster.
Another thing I would love to see is the ability to sort the roster table by clicking on Name/Level/etc.
Thank you for your time and I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused anyone,
Thanks for your feedback =)
For Multi-Game, how we aim to support this is through the Alliance feature. Supporting multiple games within one site is really tricky and does not work out too well (you can't really have one theme then, your races & classes become very complex, you try and support all this on your guildapp form, etc.)
Instead, if you create Multiple sites, one for each Game you play; then each Site can have its own theme, races & classes, app form, etc. and work out much better. Then you can use the Alliances feature to network them together, allowing members from each site to login to any of them, share features across sites (such as events), etc. There is also the Alliances block you could add to each site then making it easy to jump between them =)
For ranks on characters, this is something we are considering; ranks on members is kind of an outdated concept that hung around as ranks used to be used as the only way to manage permissions; now that we have permission roles they are not really needed for that purpose, and ranks on characters makes a little more sense; how we can switch that, or optionally allow that, is a little tricky now tho, but it is something we are thinking about.
Sortable tables for all the lists would be a good feature and something we hope to add for the future =)
Thanks again for all your comments.
Thank you for your response, I've done the alliance thing as you suggested, but I have one suggestion. Alliance member power is super limited and I would love to see an option for members to add characters to an alliance site for those that happen to play multiple games with us.
Yes currently the Alliance permission is a little limited, we are planning to expand this in the future.
One way you can work around this tho, is those who need higher permissions (such as alliance leaders or so) can create members on both sites; these will be tied to the same account then, and you can then assign them the permissions they need; and for those who you can get away without doing that you can use the Alliance permission =)
