Hi @facetswebs,

that video is SketchBook Pro on desktop, which does have the ability to customize brush stamps.

Currently, the iPad version provides the ability to adjust the brush parameters, but not customize the brush stamp.

I will switch this thread to a suggestion so we can track your request.

Chris;

Well then let me tell you what i am attempting and maybe there is another way to accomplish?

I would like to add additional images as layers to my work, can this be accomplished?

Aw man, I would really like this to be a possibility! I guess I should have looked before posting my question about whether or not this was possible.

I'm not a creator or contributor of SketchBook apps, but I am a customer who has a pretty good grip on the app;

Tap the screen with four fingers to bring up the pannels.
Tap the layer button in the top right corner.
Tap the "+" button (if you do not do this, the new image will appear and cover up your current art, NOT enter a new layer on top of it).
Tap the button with the "+" AND the flower icon.
Select "Photo Library", "Templates" or "Camera", and choose a picture accordingly.

Hope that helps!

Darby,

this is not what he is asking to do at all.

facetsweb, the video you are pointing to is for Sketchbook Pro on a desktop device. This is currently not possible for iOS.

Lets keep it on topic, if we may.

I certainly think this would be an awesome idea. Considering the huge amount of preset brushes already, it's almost a surprise that you can't create your own but only change the parameters of those existing.

I wish there were at least more brush stamps available to create, modify, purchase, or even better for FreE.

If you are using a note 8, try the wacom bamboo feel stylus, its great if you want a thicker pen with smaller tip

Let me throw my hat in the ring asking for this support (for the Android version too, not just iOS!!)

Custom brushes are not just a nice feature, they are a *necessary* one. Without the ability to add our own custom brushes, either PNG files or GIMP or Photoshop brush files, the program is simply not all that useful. It's a great program, but it feels crippled, like it is missing the absolute most important feature of all.

I started playing more with Sketchbook and getting serious with my artwork. I modified the pencil tool to work like an inking brush and it worked great. Up until I realized that I modified my "pencil" tool and not made a new custom brush. That sucked. This means I have to keep modify my pencil tool to go from sketching to inking.

Hecktor - there is a brush reset under settings. But you lose your current brush. Just text document the settings you like and enter them when you need them. Hope this helps
