A version of it should be made for Opera.

Since its already a userscript, it just needs to be modified in order for it to work properly in Opera (v10 if possible).

I would love if this was put on Opera. I use opera much more than firefox, though I do use them both (and IE to get MS updates). These days the main thing I use FF for is to download files, thanks to skipscreen.

You can get a extension called IE Tab for Firefox, with this you open Windows Update on FF itself. Bye bye IE!

This is actually not hard at all to do. All that is needed is to emulate greasemonkey methods used within skipscreen.

GM_log, GM_getValue, and GM_xmlhttpRequest can be easily emulated for Opera. GM_log can be directly mapped to window.opera.postError and GM_xmlhttpRequest can be adapted from the Turnabout GM compatibility library while GM_getValue can just be emulated by making it a function which returns true.

With that bit of work and some user javascript headers making it fire only on necessary pages it can be made to work for Opera. A friend of mine and I worked it out a few days ago and have had good results out of it. I've been nagging him to contact you guys for a couple of days now since he did the majority of the work, but he's yet to do so.

I'd post my findings, but your license prevents me from doing so.

I really dislike Firefox and only use it because of Skipscreen!
My suggestion, which would make me very happy, is to craft a version of Skipscreen to use in the new Extensions of Safari 5

Skipscreen devs, any updates on Opera development?

Opera 11 (with support for extensions) has been released (download link here: http://www.opera.com/browser/next/ ) and there are Opera 11 Extensions developer info here: http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/ge...

Will you be developing an extension for Opera 11 or will you create a User JS which will also work on Opera 10 (current stable version)?

I'm also wanting to know if you'll develop an extension for Opera 11 (which I think is now available as a beta)?
